In this poem I tried to let each word
well up and write it down without
trying to understand it in context or
make any choice about using it or
not. I had no preconceptions about
the poem and felt I was an
intermediary rather than a conscious
creator here. The first draft was a
complete surprise to me.
At this point I made changes using
the I Ching for detailed guidance
so as to avoid as much as possible
letting my own wishes control the
outcome. The poem's message
seems directed to me along with
the others who read it.
